Safety & Professional Memberships/Accreditations
Safety, fun and challenge by choice are the benchmarks for every BAC outdoor activity.
In 2010 BAC was the first charitable Activity Centre in Northern Ireland to be awarded the Adventuremark accreditation. Adventuremark is a UK wide scheme that has been selected by the NI Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure (DCAL) as a non statutory approach to Adventure Licensing in Northern Ireland and increasingly will be seen as the benchmark for safety and quality assurance for all outdoor activity providers.
BAC is also the only activity provider in Northern Ireland to hold the Learning Outside the Classroom (LOC) Quality Badge alongside meeting the Association of Heads of Outdoor Centres (AHOEC) Gold Standard and is a member of the Institute of Outdoor Learning (IOL) and an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for the Duke of Edinburgh Award
